Industry Biotech Account Manager

Position Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding relationships with Biotech and Biopharma customers within the assigned region. This role is essential in driving revenue growth, increasing market presence, and delivering outstanding customer support. The ideal candidate has a strong scientific background and industry sales or account management experience, preferably in genomics, NGS, or related life science fields. This is a remote position; candidates must reside within or near the designated region. Must live in San Diego, CA area.

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (e.g., genetics, molecular biology, biology). Advanced degrees a plus.
\n
• Experience:
\n
• 2+ years of industry sales or account management experience , preferably in biotech, biopharma, genomics, or NGS services preferred.
\n
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
\n
• Solid understanding of NGS, genomics, or molecular biology required.
\n
• Existing network within the regional biotech/biopharma ecosystem is highly preferred.
\n
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a dynamic book of business independently.
\n
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is a plus.
\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
\n
• Identify, engage, and grow relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in biotech and biopharma accounts.
\n
• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring consistent communication and high customer satisfaction.
\n
• Present and promote Novogene’s NGS services, effectively conveying scientific and technical value propositions.
\n
• Maintain strong understanding of advancements in NGS, genomics, and related technologies to support customer discussions.
\n
• Attend regional conferences, seminars, and vendor shows to strengthen visibility and uncover new business opportunities.
\n
• Document all activities, opportunities, and interactions in Salesforce.com with accuracy and timeliness.
\n
• Collaborate with internal scientific, technical, and operational teams to ensure smooth project execution and resolve customer issues promptly.
\n
• Conduct up to 25% overnight travel for customer visits and regional events.
\n

Compensation

\n

The salary is dependent on your qualifications, relevant experience, and location.

\n

$75K to $100k base salary plus performance-based incentives.
