Position: BC/BE GI Physician at Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton, IL. Practice Overview Beautiful and spacious clinic on the campus of Alton Memorial Hospital's Digestive Health Center 4 endoscopy suites at Alton Memorial Hospital with room to staff and run a fifth room, volume permitting Employed position with ample support and mentorship available APP support in the clinic and with inpatient rounding Typically 3.5 days in the lab and 1 day of clinic per week Ability to be busy right away as group is scheduled out 6 months Ability to do advanced GI, ERCP and EUS Compensation & Benefit Highlights $50,000 Signing Bonus Competitive two‑year guarantee followed by a lucrative productivity model Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, dental, vision, disability, life and more Malpractice/tail insurance Matching (up to 6%) 401k and a 457b plan CME allowance 4 weeks vacation, 6 holidays and 5 days for CME Role Purpose The physician will provide professional medical services within the specialty through patient care, completing medical records, providing MyChart consultations and in‑basket management, conducting patient‑specific education and collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members. Responsibilities Manages the medical care of patient panel by providing or arranging for inpatient hospital care consistent with Medical Staff requirements. Collaborates with patients, families, and care team members to ensure excellent patient care outcomes at clinic locations and other BJC clinical outreach locations. Performs and documents medical histories and physicals as required. Provides or arranges for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage according to BJC policies and Medical Staff bylaws. Collaborates and trains advanced practice providers, support staff or any care team member assigned to the patient panel. Job is safety‑sensitive; requires constant alertness and safe conduct.
