Job Description:


- Location: Richmond, Virginia
- Unit Information:
- General Comments: Incredible opportunity to join a vibrant team dedicated to maternal health!
- Number of Beds: 16 LDR, 3 OR, 3 Triage, 3 RR
- Number of Staff: 70
- Staff Breakdown:
- Day Shift: 1 charge, 12 RN, 2-3 Surgical Techs
- Night Shift: 1 charge, 6-7 RN, 1 Surgical Tech


- Patient Ratios:
- AWHONN ratios are the goal. Ratios could range from 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 (low acuity).

- Equipment:
- Novii monitors, iMobile, headsets, pass-through skin-to-skin C-section drape, deep soaker tubs, light therapy, aroma therapy.

- EMR: CPN and Meditech


- Typical Hiring Profiles:
- Most Recruited Skills: Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters.
- Must Have:
- Current (within the previous 2 years) Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring
- Labor & Delivery experience
- Current NRP and BLS required
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience at facilities with 3000 births per year.


- Patient-Centered Care:
- Procedures include Labor, Deliver, Recover, Triage, Antepartum, Circulate for C-section, 1st-hour baby care, and Breastfeeding assistance.


- Best Personality Fit:
- Emphasizing cultural diversity and teamwork.

- Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue, with any closed shoes.
- Tattoos and piercings should be covered.

- Unit Guidelines/Policies:
- 24-7 Hospitalist and Midwife coverage, Anesthesia, Neonatologist on-call.
