Our Values Respect | Belonging | Accountability | Transparency Department Food Services Job Summary Under general supervision, assist in the provision of food service and nutritional programs. Assists in planning and producing meals based on established guidelines, teach principles of food and nutrition, or counsel individuals. Essential Functions: Prepare and assemble patient meals in accordance with diet orders prescribed by Registered Dietitians (RDs) (30%) Ensure strict adherence to dietary restrictions, including allergies and special medical diets (15%) Weigh and measure food items to ensure compliance with dietary specifications (20%) Stock, organize, and maintain inventory of food and supplies within the unit (15%) Follow sanitation, safety, and infection control protocols at all times (10%) Collaborate with clinical and dietary staff to support optimal patient nutrition care (10%) Education: High School Diploma or GED Required Work Experience: less than 1 year in food service and/or hospital setting Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Oral Comprehension. The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
