Director of Alumni Relations

Position Director of Alumni Relations Position Description Archbishop Hoban High School is seeking an experienced and relationship-focused professional to advance the school's institutional advancement efforts by cultivating meaningful, long-term relationships with alumni. The successful candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and passionate about supporting the mission and values of Hoban through alumni engagement and stewardship. The ideal candidate will also possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a strong enthusiasm for planning and executing alumni events and initiatives. This is a twelve-month full-time position. We are a private Catholic high school in the heart of East Akron and rooted in the Holy Cross tradition. Position Responsibilities Plan and organize regular alumni association meetings. Develop and execute plans for alumni weekend activities, reunions, ceremonies, and awards. Create focused programming to engage and connect with young alumni. Develop and coordinate regular communications with alumni through newsletters, emails, social media, and other channels to promote events and activities. Manage volunteer groups to assist with events and activities. Maintain accurate records of alumni participation and engagement. Serve as a creative resource in identifying and developing new opportunities for alumni relations. Assist with advancement events and special projects. Position Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree is required. Knowledge and experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge is preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events is required. Experience motivating and collaborating with volunteers. Ability to work with school technology (Microsoft Office suite, Google, etc.). Appropriate criminal records check by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and Federal Bureau of Investigation are required. Have attended or are willing to attend a VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training.
