Position Details:

A qualified candidate has knowledge of, and the ability to apply, a wide range of professional psychological theories, evidence-based therapies, and assessment methods to a variety of patient populations, including complex cases. Provision of services may be in a variety of formats, such as individuals, groups, couples, family, and in-person or via telehealth modalities. Treatment may involve the patient, family members and/or significant others. Ability to provide services in both inpatient and outpatient settings from initial to follow-up care. They develop comprehensive treatment plans. The psychologist has knowledge of the recovery model and integrates it into the treatment of Veterans experiencing mental illness. They develop and document clear treatment goals that are thorough, include measurement-based care, based on recovery, and utilize symptoms severity and intensity to inform treatment frequency. This psychologist develops and implements clinical procedures that balance clinical demand and therapeutic resources, resulting in a successful meeting of performance measures and strives to continually improve clinical systems.
