About the Role

Join FIS's Public Cloud platform team to help design, operate, and secure our multicloud network foundation acrossAzureandAWS. You'll apply solid networking fundamentals, build infrastructure withTerraform, and managePalo Alto Networksfirewalls.

This role is ideal for someone experienced enough to contribute immediately and who can givehandson mentorshipand guidance in strategic initiatives and architectural thinking.

What you will be doing

• Multicloud network engineering: build and support Azure/AWS VNet/VPC architectures, routing (including BGP), load balancing, private connectivity (ExpressRoute / Direct Connect), DNS, and micro segmentation.

• Infrastructure as Code: create and maintain Terraform code and modules; participate in code reviews; improve automation and standardization.

• Palo Alto Firewall Operations: build, refine, and maintain firewall and Panorama policies, NAT rules, segmentation controls, and ipsec tunnels.

• Troubleshooting & Resiliency: investigate and resolve L3-L7 issues across cloud environments, firewalls, and dependencies; contribute to RCA and preventive patterns.

• Security & compliance alignment: work with cloud security and risk teams on inspection, logging, least privilege, microsegmentation, and governance frameworks.

• Crossteam enablement: collaborate with app, platform, and security partners; maintain documentation and runbooks; assist with oncall rotations.

• Continuous Improvement: improve cost, reliability, automation, and observability for cloud networking platforms.

• Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear architectural designs.

• Support modernization of legacy platforms and adoption of emerging technologies.

What you bring

• 8+ years of related experience(s) below.

• Knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, data architectures, and integration patterns.

• Handson experience with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), microservices, and containerized environments.

• Strong working knowledge ofTerraform(module creation, state mgmt., pipeline integration).

• Practical experience withPalo Alto Networksfirewalls and Panorama.

• Core fundamentals: TCP/IP, BGP, IPsec, TLS, DNS, load balancing concepts.

• Ability to clearly document designs, troubleshoot collaboratively, and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical partners.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus if you have

• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructureascode practices.

• Architecture or cloud certifications.

• Azure Firewall / AWS Network Firewall / WAF experience.

• CI/CD exposure (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

• Network observability (Flow Logs, Panorama logs, SIEM pipelines).

• Kubernetes networking (AKS/EKS CNI, ingress, egress controls).

• Experience with enterprise connectivity, SDWAN, or hybrid cloud routing.

• Familiarity with HA Proxy or any Reverse Proxy solutions.
