Engineer, Transportation Design

We are seeking a Professional Engineer with a transportation design background to join our growing team at WSB. What You Will Do Lead the design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for public and private clients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects and exceptional service. Perform design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation. Compile, write, and edit technical reports, feasibility studies, letters, memos, and specifications. Assist with proposals, budgets, schedules, planning activities, and public involvement presentations. Oversee the work of EITs or technicians. Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure delivery within time and budget. Maintain regular communication with clients, oversee schedules and budgets, and coordinate subconsultants. What You Will Bring Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related accredited discipline. 4–10 years of experience in transportation/municipal engineering or a related field. Current PE license or ability to obtain one within six months. Proficiency reading construction plans and understanding design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, HydroCAD). Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Excellent communication skills and strong work ethic. Commitment to a 40‑hour work week. Willingness to work in posted locations; primary work in office with occasional travel or field visits.
