Quality Inspector

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Auburn, AL. In this role, you will inspect materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate is dependable, quality-focused, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.


Skills and Experience

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Verify products meet engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Identify, document, and report defects or non-conforming materials.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Ensure all products meet quality and safety standards before shipment.
• Follow all workplace safety policies and quality procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills for documenting inspection results.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.

• Knowledge of quality control methods and inspection procedures.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and production environments.
• Ability to identify defects and recommend corrective actions.
