What You Will Do :
As an Office Specialist 1 you will facilitate the timely and accurate scanning and mailing of Unemployment Insurance (UI) correspondence, provide clerical support to the UI Division, and support UI departments with special projects.
In this role you will:
- Receive and assist with the daily cycle of incoming documents to ensure same-day completion of work to maintain unit and agency timeliness.
- Prepare and batch documents for scanning that have been received for units within UI and Paid Leave.
- Operate and maintain imaging scanner.
- Assist with special projects within UI departments to expedite timely completion that could affect a claimant's claim.
- Assist other team members to ensure timely completion of duties, to include answering phone calls and assisting customers.
What We Are Looking For :
Required Minimum Qualifications
- One year of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR An equivalent combination of experience and college coursework or training in a general office occupation.

- This position is represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
- This recruitment may be used to fill current and future Permanent, Limited Duration, Job Rotation and Temporary vacancies as they occur.
- The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS-qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%. Please review the Classification and Compensation page for more details.

Work Location Information :
These positions will report to the Salem Central Office and are not suitable for remote or hybrid remote work.
