Computed Tomography Technologist - Travel Job

Become a vital part of a Staten Island, NY hospital team as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and expertly operate CT equipment in a level 1 trauma, teaching hospital environment. You will perform a variety of CT exams including head, pelvis, trauma, specialized cardiac studies, and CT angiograms using GE Revolution, GE Discovery, and Toshiba Aquilion scanners. The role includes exposure to inpatient, outpatient, mobile, and emergency department settings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current NYS Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License R.T. (R) (CT) (ARRT).
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
• NYS Injection/IV Certification. Candidates who complete the IV certification course prior to start and apply for NYDOH BERT certification will be considered. Possible physician skills sign-off opportunity may be available for application.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year CT technologist experience required. 2 years preferred.
• Ability to comply with facility uniform and appearance policies: matching scrub top and bottom (any solid color), no open-toed shoes, minimal jewelry, long hair secured, trimmed facial hair for fit-testing, and intact nail polish (no chipping).

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years CT experience.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 23:00 - 07:00.
• Schedule preference: Thursday-Monday 5x8s preferred; or Thursday-Sunday 4x10s as an alternative.
• Every other weekend required.
• Work includes inpatient, outpatient, mobile, and ED settings.
