Who We Are & Why This Role Matters

At The Shaw Group, we design and deliver innovative industrial solutions through a collaborative, multi‑discipline engineering approach. As a Civil & Structural Designer, you will play a critical role in developing 2D and 3D design deliverables that support modular steel structures, piping systems, electrical components, and equipment foundations.

What You’ll Do

Provide design guidanceDefine scopeRespond to communicationsMaintain cross‑discipline coordinationPerform self‑checksDevelop 3D models and 2D drawingsCreate material take‑offsOptimize designs for layout and transport.

What You’ll Bring

10–15 years experienceHS diploma or drafting certificateAdvanced AutoCAD Advance SteelPlant 3D, Navisworks skillsKnowledge of AISC/ASME/PIP/OSHAProficiency with MS Office and PDF tools

Location & Travel

Tyler, TexasApproximately 10% travel
