Senior Software Engineer - Air Traffic Solutions (Onsite)

Our Connected Aviation – Air Traffic Solutions – Software Engineering Department (ATS-SED) seeks an experienced Software Engineer to develop and support global Air Traffic Control Systems. What You Will Do: Develop and maintain software packaged into our ATMS products. Maintain documentation and work instructions needed to meet ATS SED’s high‑maturity software engineering standards and processes. Participate in Agile processes, including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and story pointing. Collaborate with an integrated engineering team and communicate regularly with engineering peers, program management, and external stakeholders. Qualifications: Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience. Experience developing, integrating, testing, and validating software components in a Unix/Linux environment. Proficiency with the complete software development lifecycle using Java or C/C++. Hands‑on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python. U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with asynchronous messaging frameworks. Experience with Agile methodologies and the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket). Willingness to learn or familiarity with Ada. Experience in software testing or debugging source code. Job Type: Onsite (primarily on‑site work).
