Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a Hematology/Oncology team. The ideal candidate will have prior oncology experience and a strong inpatient clinical background. This role involves collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care, treatment planning, and patient education.
Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients within the approved scope of practice.
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the EMR.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and disease management.
• Utilize prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Deliver high-quality care to acute care patients with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Current New York State Nurse Practitioner License and Registration.
• NP specialty certification consistent with practice area.
• Minimum one (1) year of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Prior inpatient experience preferred.
• Medicare NPI number or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current CPR and ACLS Certifications.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
• Ability to complete pre-employment health clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Hematology/Oncology or Oncology experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in acute care or hospital-based settings.
