Tutor

Tutor Assist in tutoring middle and high school students in a variety of subjects. Key Responsibilities Tutor students spanning grades 6-12 in selected academic disciplines including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, French, Spanish, Language Arts, History, SAT/ACT Test Prep, Economics, Psychology, and other related course needs. Manage group tutoring sessions as needed. Show passion for the progress of student’s development. Motivate students to have a positive relationship with learning. Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment. Model and encourage collaborative study strategies. Provide help with homework, lessons, exam preparation, and enrichment to students of various grade levels. Assess student support needs and difficulties. Help students catch up in school subjects where they have fallen behind. Work minimally 2 Achievement Center sessions per week. Qualifications Commit to at least 8 hours of work per week. Ability to work private tutoring sessions as needed. Full mastery and experience of subject area. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Suite of applications. Relate to adolescents for effective content support. Enthusiastic in delivery of material. Ability to differentiate & think creatively. Extremely skilled in logic and content vocabulary. Demonstrates moral and ethical responsibility. Preferred Qualifications ESE experience ELL experience Microsoft 365 Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 lbs. Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time. Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc. Requires a background check upon offer.
