Growing together.To support this mission, OSIT has initiated a multi‑year modernization program aimed at updating and enhancing enterprise technology systems in accordance with modern design standards.You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Designs, codes, tests and debugs applications and components that meet all technical specifications and business requirements per assigned work itemsCollaborates closely with stakeholders, product owners, and feature team on developing requirementsRefines business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutionsPerform code reviewsOperational Excellence - build, deploy, monitor, and operation of production servicesCommunicates effectively with business stakeholders and technical teamContribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps best practicesMentors junior software engineersYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED2+ years of experience in full lifecycle software development projects in an agile environment1+ years of Hands-on technical expertise in building web applications and RESTful web services1+ years of experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or other similar relational database management systems1+ years of experience with .NET Core or similar object-oriented programming languageUnited States citizenship is required for this positionMust be able to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential/Secret or Top-Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or related field Experience with application containerization, deployment, and orchestration across environmentsExperience with CI/CD and test automationExperience building cloud-native applications in Azure or similar cloud service providerBasic understanding and ability to troubleshoot applications running within KubernetesBasic understanding of cloud infrastructure and automated provisioning & configuration managementBasic understanding of networking and internet protocolsKnowledge of Encryption, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), understanding of OWASP*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
