Senior Cost Accounting Analyst

Title: Senior Cost Accounting AnalystLocation: Lake Jackson, TXSalary: $88,400-$133,900Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per weekRelocation AvailableFocus: The Senior Cost Accounting Analyst supports manufacturing cost control and site accounting activities for Olin's largest assets. In this role, you will oversee cost-of-sales drivers (raw materials, energy, manufacturing and engineering spend), capital expenditures, working capital, and productivity initiatives. You will also support accurate and timely financial closes, budgeting/forecasting, and management reporting - providing insights that help improve efficiency and profitability. This role is high impact and high visibility partnering closely with the Epoxy business division. This role offers hands-on experience working in SAP within a manufacturing environment. Senior Cost Accounting Analyst Essential Responsibilities:Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including:Executing month-end close procedures and journal entriesPreparing account reconciliations and investigating variancesSupporting physical inventory observations and ensuring accurate inventory accountingReviewing fixed assets and supporting capitalization/depreciation processesAnalyzing results, compiling management reports, and delivering ad hoc financial analysesCoordinating site estimates/forecasts and supporting the annual budgeting processSupport the annual standard cost-setting process and maintain standard costing assumptionsMaintain compliance with company policy and U.S. GAAP; support SOX/internal control activities (documentation, testing, and remediation as needed)Ensure audit readiness and support internal/external audit requests, including timely responses and supporting documentationPartner with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify cost optimization opportunities, quantify impact, and track productivity initiativesSenior Cost Accounting Analyst Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's Degree* in Finance or Accounting; CMA or CPA certifications preferred.Minimum of 5 years of related cost accounting experience and experience performing accounting work in a manufacturing company.Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and SOX/internal controls preferred.Proficiency with an ERP system required; SAP experience preferred.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.Strong Careers Grow HereAs a global leader in both chemical manufacturing and ammunition, Olin empowers over 8,000 individuals to make an impact both at work and in our surrounding communities.
