Role: Senior Process Engineer – Mechanical Assembly
We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead mechanical assembly operations during the night shift in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
This role serves as the senior technical authority on the production floor overnight , requiring strong mechanical expertise, leadership, independent decision-making, and real-time problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the senior technical authority during overnight operations
• Lead, mentor, and prioritize work for a team of night-shift technicians
• Monitor and improve OEE, yield, cycle time, and downtime
• Troubleshoot mechanical and automated equipment issues
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and eliminate production bottlenecks
• Improve machine reliability, operator ergonomics, and production efficiency
• Document overnight issues and provide clear handoffs to day-shift engineering teams
• Identify shop-floor usability and human-factor challenges
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, and design engineering teams on improvements
Must-Have Qualifications
✅ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering , or related technical field
✅ 4–7+ years of hands-on manufacturing/process engineering experience
✅ Experience in automated manufacturing or production environments
✅ Strong knowledge of OEE, downtime tracking, cycle time, and yield
✅ Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
✅ Experience leading, mentoring, or prioritizing work for technical teams
✅ Ability to work independently during off-hours with limited escalation support
✅ Strong root-cause analysis and continuous improvement experience
✅ Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
✅ Willingness to work night shift starting at 4 PM

• Previous night-shift or off-hours leadership experience
• Experience with highly automated assembly equipment
• Strong mechanical intuition and hands-on troubleshooting ability
• Experience implementing CI/Lean manufacturing initiatives
• Ability to communicate technical feedback to design and system engineering teams
