Plant Engineering ManagerThe Plant Engineering Manager has a major impact on the overall safety, productivity, sustainability, and efficiency of the facility through improved engineering designs, capital evaluations and sourcing. Accountabilities include cost reduction in manufacturing, improved equipment efficiency, developing a highly motivated team, compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, meeting budget guidelines, developing capital plans, and compliance with S-W programs such as Reliability Excellence, Continuous Improvement Projects, Six Sigma support, and Housekeeping Excellence.Additional Information20% TravelMonday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PMThis position is also eligible for bonus and long-term incentive compensation awards based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.This position is eligible for health benefits, such as medical, dental and vision coverage, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), disability coverage, security, retirement and saving benefits, and more. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.Responsibilities• This position is responsible for managing the engineering, maintenance and sustainability functions of the plant.• Oversees maintenance service and repair for all equipment.• Provides engineering support for the purchase, construction, installation and modification of production facilities.• Incumbent must manage the budgets of the Maintenance and Engineering Departments, while preserving assets, reducing operating costs, and increasing equipment up time (reduce downtime). This position directly impacts equipment life, operating costs, the safety of all employees, and the environmental impact on the community.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futureMust have a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience managing and prioritizing projects, budgets and timelinesPrior experience managing conflicting demandsPrior experience communicating progress and status reports to multiple levels of managementPrior experience managing project teamsPrevious supervisory experience is preferredExpertise in project managementPrior experience applying and leading Continuous Improvement processes such as 6 Sigma, Lean, Root Cause and/or Reliability EngineeringSix Sigma Certification is preferredWillingness to relocate if in the future considered for promotional opportunities is preferredAbout UsAt Sherwin-Williams, our purpose is to inspire and improve the world by coloring and protecting what matters.
