This posting relates to the Bell Valet Captain role at Chatham Bars Inn, a Forbes Five-Star resort located in Chatham, Massachusetts. What you will have an opportunity to do The Bell Valet Captain assists the Bell and Valet staff by managing arrivals, rooming and departures, and providing guidance during each shift while serving guests in accordance with the Chatham Bars Inn Service Standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities Ensure that Leading Hotel Quality Assurance, Forbes, AAA, and CBI policies and procedures are understood and followed by staff Provide training for Bell and Valet staff by coaching and monitoring progress Handle guest complaints and comments related to the department tactfully Maintain and refresh the Service Standards and ensure they are used effectively Coordinate teamwork with other departments Create and maintain staff scheduling to ensure proper coverage Monitor and track guest arrivals and departures Use guest names in service by applying training techniques Work with staff to ensure high-quality service for guests Oversee guest vehicle cleanliness and maintenance as part of daily duties Perform other reasonable duties as required by the Front Office Manager Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, behavior, and grooming among staff What we are looking for / Qualifications Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience Previous Front Desk or Guest Services experience preferred Superior customer service skills Demonstrated leadership abilities Ability to multi-task Strong attention to detail and organization Excellent computer skills Ability to collaborate with other department managers to ensure guest satisfaction Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for an entire shift Ability to lift up to 50 lbs of luggage Flexible with schedules Compensation $20.50 / hr Equal Opportunity Pyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
