Radiology Technologist – PRN, Varied Shifts Sanpete Valley Hospital in Mount Pleasant, Utah, is seeking a PRN Radiology Technologist to join our close‑knit imaging team. This role offers varied shifts and the opportunity to provide high‑quality diagnostic imaging while making a meaningful impact in a community‑focused hospital setting. Pay Range $29.14 – $44.94 per hour, depending on certification, licensure, and experience. Essential Functions Maintains ARRT or modality‑specific competency in all clinical and technical functions. Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares patients for exams. Performs imaging exams per department protocols and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy. Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment. Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality. Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Technologists in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment usage. Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns. Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques. Operates imaging equipment and related information systems to ensure high‑quality images. Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions. Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control programs, and reporting equipment failures. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.). May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
