Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an Acute Care Patient Care Technician. This role involves providing essential daily patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring a compassionate and supportive environment for patients.

Job Summary

As a Patient Care Technician, you will perform a variety of technical and direct care tasks including CPR, vital signs monitoring, telemetry support, EKG acquisition, wound care, phlebotomy, and assisting with patient mobility and personal hygiene. You will also support administrative duties such as documenting patient data, transcribing physician orders, and coordinating diagnostic tests.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
• One to two years of experience in a patient care setting, preferably acute care.
• Telemetry experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical Assistant Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of patient care practices within the nursing assistant scope.
• Ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional and caring demeanor.
• Proficiency with technology including electronic medical records and telemetry equipment.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent lifting and carrying of up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Normal vision, hearing, and speech are necessary with or without corrective devices.
