Experience: 1+ years of dietitian experience required

License: Must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration

Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS required

Must-Have: Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition from an accredited institution required

Covid vaccine required, exemptions allowed

Description: Works cooperatively with dietary management staff to manage and direct all nutritional services. Responsible for establishing and monitoring continuous quality improvement issues per regulations. Provides nutritional instruction to patients and documents appropriately in medical records. Coordinates care with appropriate nutritional and medical staff. Involved in a multi-disciplinary approach for patient care. Strives for superior performance to enhance the patient and family experience. Conducts comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients identified at nutritional risk. Incorporates evidence-based practice when implementing nutrition interventions. Evaluates the need for specialized nutrition support and makes appropriate recommendations. Documents nutrition assessments in the electronic medical record. Reassesses the nutrition care process and implements changes as indicated. Develops and directs the overall nutrition and hydration plan of care for each resident. Recognizes the varied needs of age-specific populations, including cultural and religious concerns. Evaluates residents for significant weight changes, new admissions, and care standards. Participates in quality improvement projects as needed. This is a full-time position working in a long-term care and inpatient setting. Approximately 40% of time will be spent in long-term care, 50% will be inpatient, and 10% on project improvement and other tasks.
