A Day in the Life

The Senior Process Engineer will specialize in the optimization of dip molding processes, driving improvements in production yields. This role will also lead the end-to-end development, tooling design, and scale-up of dip molding manufacturing lines for catheters. Further, this role will interact cross functionally to refine other catheter manufacturing and packaging processes.

This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area

• Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques as well as production yields for existing products

• Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications

• Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules

• Interact with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible

• May develop and conduct statistical analysis or recommend additions to document work

• Lead the innovation, development and/or optimization of new manufacturing concepts, processes and procedures for transfer to manufacturing operations; this can include scouting and feasibility work, material selection, process and equipment selection, tooling / fixture and equipment installation and assessment of inputs, outputs and alignment to requirements

• Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques including the measurement systems

• Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations

Requirements: Requires a Baccalaureate degree AND minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$103,200.00 - $154,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
