Medical Assistant OpportunityActalent is hiring for a Medical Assistant!! This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in the medical field, providing critical support to physicians and patients alike. The Clinical Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within the clinic by assisting with patient care, maintaining medical records, and supporting administrative tasks.Responsibilities include escorting patients to and from exam rooms, recording patient data prior to each physician visit, obtaining all necessary patient records, preparing and stocking exam and treatment rooms, assisting physicians with exams and procedures, maintaining disinfection protocols, responding to patient calls, and performing administrative duties.Essential skills include proficiency in handling medical records, ability to accurately record vital signs, current BLS certification, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Additional skills and qualifications include a high school graduate or equivalent and 0-3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.The work environment is dynamic and requires the ability to escort patients to various locations within the clinic. The Clinical Assistant will work in exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms, ensuring that all areas are prepared and disinfected according to protocols. The position involves regular interaction with patients and healthcare professionals, requiring excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach.This is a permanent position based out of Albany, NY, with a pay range of $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
