Summary
This Mid to Senior level Java Developer Architect position requires 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in building and maintaining architecture for large scale Java based applications.
As a Java Developer Architect, you will play a critical role in building and implementing architecture utilizing cloud base technologies and integrations with internal and external tools to achieve business goals. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with dev leads, product owners, and fellow developers to understand project requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
- Design and implement high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Java applications.
- Estimates effort before beginning tasks, focusing on learning to improve estimation skills.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve development practices.
- Maintains existing applications as well as creates new functionality.
- Self-motivated and goal oriented.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns.
- Experience in working with Java frameworks and libraries (Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate and others) and web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience in Relational Database design, SQL and Stored Procedures (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Experience in Angular/React/Vue, mobile application development and Micro Services architecture.
- Experience in Cloud based architectures using cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with AWS services (Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, Pinpoint, Elastic Search, RDS, Distributed Load Testing, etc.)
- Experience in Kubernetes and developing/utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage Java applications on Kubernetes.
- Experience in Implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of Java applications on Kubernetes.
- Experience in optimizing Java applications and Kubernetes configurations for performance and resource efficiency.
- Experience with a variety of development tools including Eclipse IDE, Git version control, Azure DevOps, Jira.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, attention to detail and teamwork skills.
- Experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) and ArchGis tool is a plus.
- Experience in working with Agile team is a plus.
