Key facts Location: Arizona, USA (Remote) What you'll do Review patient compliance and response to exercise, revising plans based on tolerance and recovery patterns. Document all assessments, progress, and interactions accurately, concisely, and in a timely manner for care continuity. Identify and remove obstacles that would hinder program completion for patients in the cardiac rehabilitation pathway. Sign patients up for group education classes and identify barriers to participation to ensure broad program access. Apply exercise physiology principles to adapt workouts for diverse cardiac conditions and recovery stages. Monitor real-time patient feedback during telehealth sessions to adjust intensity and ensure safety. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and dietitians to align exercise goals with overall patient care plans. Track key health metrics such as heart rate, blood pressure, and perceived exertion to guide progressive programming. Educate patients on heart-healthy lifestyle choices, including stress management, sleep, and nutrition fundamentals. Use telehealth platforms to deliver structured, engaging, and evidence-based exercise sessions remotely. Requirements Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field as stated in the degree requirement. Possess current CPR and First Aid certification as a condition for practice. Obtain and maintain an ACSM or AACVPR certification, such as Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP), Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C), Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP), or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP). Have experience working in a clinical or rehabilitation setting, ideally with cardiac patients, to apply knowledge safely. Demonstrate experience leading group classes or functioning as a Group Fitness Instructor for shared sessions. Employ strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex medical information in an understandable way to patients and colleagues. Apply knowledge of cardiovascular disease management, exercise prescription, and behavior change techniques during patient interactions. Show empathy and patience for patients facing physical and emotional challenges throughout recovery. Maintain a motivational and goal-oriented approach to patient care within the remote service model. Work independently and within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills across telehealth sessions. This role is classified as a 1099 contractor position with compensation tied to $20 to $30 per patient session.
