Software Quality Engineer

Salary: $83,400 - 125,200 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in software engineering, computer science, or another STEM-related field with 2 years of software development and integration experience, or a masters degree in software engineering, computer science, or another STEM-related field with no prior software development and integration experience.
• We require the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• We require U.S. citizenship.
• We require experience implementing Software Quality Assurance plans.
• We prefer experience with Agile software development processes.
• We prefer experience collecting software data and metrics for reporting.
• We prefer experience evaluating, tracing, or analyzing requirements.
• We prefer experience with process and product evaluation, as well as quality auditing.
• We prefer experience with DO-178, DO-254, and ISO9001/AS9100 standards.
• We prefer experience with peer reviews and code reviews.
• We prefer experience with model-based development.
• We prefer the ability to read and understand software code in C, C++, Java, Python, or Ada.
• We prefer an active Secret clearance.
• We also look for knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and Ada, along with Software Quality Assurance processes.
• We value the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software problem-tracking tools such as SAP, DOORs, Jira, and Confluence.

• We develop, modify, apply, and maintain standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures.
• We ensure measures meet acceptable reliability standards.
• We develop operating criteria to support implementation of the software quality program in line with project, process, and contract requirements and objectives.
• We ensure project and process control documentation complies with requirements, objectives, and contracts.
• We review software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and process requirements.
• We review applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies.
• We review or direct verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
