Job TitleEvaluation, including performance of H&P (history and physical); diagnosis; consultation; and treatment of adult patients with medical illnesses performed in the clinic environment with appropriate support and monitoring. In addition, provider can perform routine women's health (pelvic exam, breast exam, cytologic pap smear testing, cervical HPV testing), laceration repair, foreign body removal, abscess incision and drainage, and wound debridement. He/she can care for patients via telemedicine, perform preliminary interpretation of ECG and radiographic studies, and supervise residents, fellows, and others in training.Additional Professional Opportunities for qualified applicants: A portion of the position may be assigned to the Obesity Medicine Clinic for clinicians who meet service needs and relevant qualifications and based on the needs of the Obesity and Primary care clinics. Duties in this area include evaluation and management of patients with obesity and related metabolic conditions, close collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, and adherence to evidence based clinic protocols and treatment pathways. The position may also include dedicated time serving as a Stanford Medical Resident preceptor in the resident primary care continuity clinic, offering clinical supervision, teaching, and mentorship to resident physicians in the ambulatory care setting. Assignment of precepting time is dependent on experience, clinic needs, and alignment with program requirements.
