Assistant Controller

Akkodis is seeking a Assistant Controller for a Fulltime position with a client located in Newington NH (100% onsite ) Salary Range: $130,000 to $145,000/ Year(The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors) Location: Newington NH (100% onsite ) Relocation Assistance: Yes Role Candidate should have some experience working for a Manufacturing based organization. Must have CPA as well as Public Audit Experience: The Assistant Controller will support the Finance and Accounting function with a focus on managing the daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance and assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports. They will maintain internal controls and support financial activities. This role also has overall control/management of the Vendor Master and has become the in-house subject-matter expert. This entry-level Controlling position will be familiar with GAAP and internal control practices. They will possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. The Assistant Controller will work independently and in a team environment, collaborating with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, and other functions within the organization (e.g. R&D, Facilities). Education/Experience & Skills: Bachelor's degree, in Finance or Accounting required, Master's preferred, and 4-6 years practical experience in either an operating/product-driven company, public accounting company, or mix required. CPA preferred but not required. Proficiency in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting, and experienced in assisting in financial audit preparation. ERP experience preferred. Serve as a financial advisor to the business, provide guidance on internal controls, compliance and risk mitigation. Maintain a high level of customer service and personal integrity. Ability to effectively interact directly with senior management. Cultivate and enhance leadership skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, especially Excel. Operation in an ERP environment required, with specific experience with Oracle EBS strongly preferred. Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form. Must be able to communicate complex financial information to executives and other team members. Results driven personality but with ability to work with others diplomatically across all levels of the organization. Strong time management skills to ensure timely completion of financial deadlines, prioritize daily tasks, and support both routine accounting and strategic projects. Effective problem-solving skills to analyze financial data, resolve complex accounting issues, and improve reporting accuracy.
