Location: Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, or New York City
Salary: $145,000 - $215,000

What You Will Be Doing

As a Cannabis Corporate Associate, you will:

• Represent cannabis clients in transactions, including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, and commercial agreements
• Draft and negotiate contracts, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and other corporate documents
• Conduct due diligence and risk assessment related to cannabis-related transactions
• Stay current on federal, state, and local cannabis laws and regulations
• Collaborate with other attorneys and industry professionals to deliver comprehensive legal solutions

What You Need

• 5+ years of experience in cannabis law, corporate law, commercial transactions, and contracts
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen
• Preferred: experience as lead attorney on corporate business transactions, with demonstrated cannabis transaction experience
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across practice areas
