Animal Care Technician

Labcorp seeks an Animal Care Technician in Greenfield, Indiana to provide daily care, monitoring, and sanitation for laboratory animals. The role supports research operations while maintaining facility cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for laboratory animals including feeding, watering, and health observation
• Change cages and bedding; clean and sanitize animal rooms, pens, and equipment
• Operate automated cleaning equipment such as cage washers and tunnel washers
• Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate documentation of cleaning, sanitation, and husbandry activities

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Preferred: 6+ months animal care experience or relevant certifications
• Preferred: 6+ months consistent, reliable work history
• Comfortable working in animal research facility environments
• Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Compensation: $18/hr
