About the Position

Local Radius rule: No locals -- All candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility (based on drivers license)

Employee Separation Policy: Any past employee of UPH whether FTE, or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another Market no matter which facility they currently work at, or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply

HOLIDAY update: unless the Unit is closed, your contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)

• NBO: 16 hrs
• EMR : EPIC
• OT/Holiday: 1.15x multiplier
• Call Back: 1.5x multiplier with 2 hr CB minimum
• On Call: $9/hr
• Charge/Precept : $6/hr

Billable OT: 

• 36-40 hrs/week, OT billable after 40
• 48 hrs/week, OT billable after 48

Unit Information:

Labor & Delivery:

• Beds: 3 LDRP, 4 Postpartum
• 1:1 ratio, active labor
• 1:3-4 ratio, couplets
• Titration of pitocin
• Deliveries/month: 19-31 delieveries
• Annual average: 300

Types of patients:

• labor, delivery, post partum, antepartum, newborn nursery

Med Surg Unit: 

• Bed size: 23
• N:P ratio: 1:5
• Patient Types: bariatric surgery, ortho, general med surg
• Drips: heparin
