Academic Program Lead MA Charlestown ESL, Charlestown, MA, US Job Title: Program Lead General Summary The Program Lead is responsible for training, coaching, and developing the faculty of assigned programs as well as for the development and delivery of CSI-approved curriculum. The Program Lead works with academic deans and faculty to ensure student academic successes and retention. Assist Academic Deans and Program Managers in oversight of faculty/student for approximately 150+ students in assigned programs. Maintains one teaching class assignment with flexible scheduling (including nights and weekends) as needed to accommodate students. Train, mentor, and monitor faculty Conduct faculty meetings for assigned programs Answer student inquiries and mentor students for success within the designated program Interview teacher candidates Coordinate events and build community resources Advise students on Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Conduct in-class observations Organize field trips Actively contribute to program improvement and curriculum development Participate in orientation for new students Promote best practices among faculty Ensure that assignment submission, test taking, and grading are completed correctly and on time Other duties and special projects as assigned Staying up-to-date on current trends within the industry through professional development, research, and conferences. Other duties and projects as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Commitment to academic excellence Effective oral and written communication skills Strong sense of customer service Knowledge of pedagogical methods Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) Team building skills & leadership aptitude Ability to maintain confidentiality of information Ability to use the following equipment and software packages with proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use online learning tools Education and Experience: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, teaching, curriculum & instruction, educational leadership, or related field.
