Senior Software Engineer

We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join a fast-paced product and solution development team with a focus on the Power/Utilities industry.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and develop modern front-end and back-end applications using Java, Angular, and SQL
• Build application interfaces that integrate with internal and external platforms
• Develop enterprise, distributed, and data-intensive applications and processes
• Ensure application responsiveness, scalability, and performance
• Partner with product, design, QA, and release teams from concept through deployment
• Troubleshoot issues by analyzing code, processes, and data flows
• Contribute across the full SDLC including analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation
• Work within an Agile/SCRUM team and participate in related ceremonies
• Support testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance across environments
• Write clean, maintainable code aligned with standards and tools such as SonarQube

Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices

Main Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Strong experience with:
• Core Java
• Spring Boot
• REST APIs / Microservices
• Multithreading
• Messaging frameworks
• SQL
• Angular 14
• HTML, CSS, and scripting
• Experience building enterprise, distributed, and edge applications
• Strong understanding of web services and distributed architecture, including XML, JSON, REST, SOAP, Tomcat, and microservices
• Experience with Java development tools, IDEs, build frameworks, source control, Jira, and ALM tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to write efficient, scalable code
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Energy & Utilities solutions
• AWS cloud application development
• DevOps and deployment experience across on-prem and cloud environments
• Unix and Shell scripting knowledge
• Hands-on Python development
• Strong project and time management skills
• Focus on efficiency, user experience, and continuous improvement

Ideal Background: We’re especially interested in candidates with experience in the Power Transmission & Distribution domain or those who have worked with leading organizations in utilities, industrial automation, grid technology, or consulting environments.
