CDL Box Truck Driver

The CDL Box Truck Driver transports materials between two manufacturing locations, supports loading and unloading activities, and performs material handling and general warehouse duties as needed. This role operates a sit-down forklift and uses a handheld scanner to track materials through shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate packaging and inventory control.

Responsibilities and Job Overview:

• Location: Jacksonville, FL (northside) - this position is 100% local
• Shift: overnight shift: 9:00pm-5:30am (Monday-Friday)
• Pay: $23-$28/hr (based on experience)
• Drive a box truck safely and efficiently between two manufacturing facilities to transport materials and products.
• Assist with loading and unloading the truck, ensuring materials are handled carefully and securely.
• Perform material handling duties, including moving, staging, and organizing products within the warehouse.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to move product throughout the facility in a safe and controlled manner.
• Use a handheld scanner to track materials, shipments, and inventory through shipping and receiving processes.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing materials for dispatch.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while driving, operating equipment, and working in the warehouse.

Essential Skills:

• Valid CDL Class A or CDL Class B license.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
• Experience working within a manufacturing facility is a plus.
• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and effectively.
• Basic familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
• Reliable time management and ability to work a consistent 3rd shift schedule.

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $62400.00/yr. Contract-to-hire opportunity - pay raise, profit sharing, benefits, PTO, paid holidays, and 401k are provided when converted to permanent employee. Profit sharing bonuses are paid out quarterly and usually equal about $1 extra per hour. Benefits are 100% paid for by IEM and are given immediately when taken permanent. There are many skills they can learn in the new facility - wiring, mechanical, welding, CNC machinery, electrical testing, paint line, and more. 10 paid holidays per year and accrued PTO when taken permanent.
