Why is this Respiratory Therapist role different This role provides a strong balance of office‑based patient support and limited travel, with highly manageable on‑call expectations. Ideal for RTs who thrive in a collaborative, hands‑on environment with a focus on patient education and respiratory care excellence. Key highlights Work Arrangement: On‑site; 80% office, 20% road. Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 9 AM – 5:30 PM. Driving Distance: Up to 70 miles; normally 20–30 miles. Salary range $35 – $45 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job‑related factors such as experience, skills, education and location. On‑Call transparency Every 10th–12th week; primarily phone‑based support. What You’ll Do Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/​BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups. Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalated concerns appropriately. Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs. Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams. Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop. Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non‑invasive ventilation. Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition. Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO₂, spirometry and gathering vital signs. Perform other duties as required. What We Look For Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active WA RT license, or RT license is a plus or willingness to obtain. Minimum 2 years of experience as an RT or RN in respiratory care. Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10–50 lbs. Valid driver's license. Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation. Education Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy. Hold a current CPR Certification. Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice.
