Who We Are: Medford Leas is a Quaker-based Non-Profit Continuing Care Retirement Community, with extraordinary health care services on two campuses in Medford and Lumberton, New Jersey. Since its opening in 1971, Medford Leas has been recognized nationally for its leadership, innovation, superior health and wellness services and a unique 180-acre arboretum campus setting. What You'll Do: Spend quality one-on-one time with residents, offering companionship and purposeful engagement. Plan and enjoy activities - from simple chats to scenic walks or quiet games - that brighten someone's day and support their well-being. Assist with light tasks like laundry, dressing, and mealtime setup, always respecting independence and dignity. Provide gentle encouragement to participate in community life, social events, or even a cozy meal with friends. Be a supportive, understanding connection for residents' families and loved ones. Escort residents to meals, appointments, or fun outings. Observe and report any changes in a resident's condition - your insight matters! Help create a safe, comfortable, and joyful environment. Schedule will vary depending on resident needs. What You Bring: A high school diploma or GED (or actively working toward one). A caring, enthusiastic, and gentle spirit. Great communication and a natural way with people. Respect, patience, and a genuine love for helping others. Physical ability to support day-to-day tasks (lifting up to 25 lbs., walking, pushing wheelchairs, etc.). Comfort working in varied temperature environments and flexible with daily duties. Requirements: Valid driver's license. Completion of required immunizations and annual TB assessment. Willingness to complete ongoing in-service training.
