Role Description The Assistant Property Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Gainesville, FL, supporting the daily operations of a multifamily property. This role assists with resident relations, including responding to inquiries, coordinating move-ins and move-outs, and ensuring a positive living experience. The Assistant Property Manager helps manage leasing activities, conducts property tours, processes applications, and supports marketing efforts to maintain occupancy goals. Responsibilities include assisting with rent collection, recording payments, following up on delinquencies, and supporting basic budgeting and reporting tasks. The role also coordinates with maintenance, vendors, and contractors, helps ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations, and contributes to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-presented community. Qualifications Experience in property management or multifamily housing operations, including resident relations and leasing support. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members. Basic financial and administrative abilities, such as handling rent collection, recordkeeping, and assisting with reports or budgets. Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities on-site. Comfort with property management software and common office tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing). Knowledge of fair housing practices and basic local housing regulations, or willingness to learn. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, real estate, or a related field is a plus. Ability to work on-site in Gainesville, FL, including occasional evenings or weekends as property needs require.
