Barista Position at Thelma's Deli

The Galt House Hotel is currently seeking someone with an infectious smile, exceptional customer service skills, a professional demeanor and positive attitude to work as a Barista in Thelma's Deli.

Responsibilities

A successful candidate will support the Galt House Hotel brand by providing our guests with exceptional customer service.

• Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards
• Properly handle and maintain all equipment
• Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
• Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
• Serve guests quickly and efficiently
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all menu offerings
• Observe relevant health and safety standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior customer service experience in a food & beverage setting
• Previous cashier experience required
• Previous kitchen "back line" food preparation experience is required
• Familiar with operating kitchen equipment such as a baking oven & electric knife
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong knowledge of the various types of coffee is required
• Previous barista experience is required
