Travel PCU Stepdown RN

Role: Travel Stepdown RN, responsible for providing specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units. Responsibilities Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data. Administer medications and treatments, assist with cardiac procedures. Assess patient conditions, record findings, and notify physicians of significant changes. Respond to cardiac emergencies and maintain patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients on cardiac health. Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills One year of recent Stepdown RN experience. Valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications. Preferred: PCCN and NIHSS certifications. Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, PC use, and physical ability to handle equipment. Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate effectively. Key Duties: Monitoring patient status, administering treatments, responding to emergencies, documenting care, and ensuring patient safety and education.
