Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Greensboro, NC | Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi, Non-Trauma)

Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Nights | 4×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Weekend and holiday availability required (minimum 8 weekends per contract)

Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric, non-trauma Emergency Department with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. Perform blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, and IV insertion. Administer continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation. Manage ventilated patients and operate CPAP/BiPAP equipment; interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs). Conduct patient triage as needed. Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed.

Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission. Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required. BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS certifications required. EPIC EMR experience required. Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed). Third-party education verification required; no open background check cases permitted. Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address.

Preferred Experience / Skills: Experience with triage in a high-volume emergency setting. Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced airway support. Comfort with procedural sedation and critical care interventions in an ED environment.
