These high-visibility projects play a critical role in supporting electric reliability, operational excellence, and California's clean energy future.As the Manager of Construction Advisors, you will shape how SCE plans, oversees, and executes construction across Generation Major Projects & Engineering's capital portfolio. You'll establish the vision, standards, and operating model for the construction advisors while leading a team that helps identify risks early, improve project outcomes, and ensure the safe delivery of critical infrastructure. Are you ready to help build the future?ResponsibilitiesManages the execution of major construction projects, providing direct supervision to exempt employees and ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.Provides guidance on constructability reviews, logistics planning, and productivity analysis to optimize field execution and resolve operational challenges.Implements standardized project controls across assigned projects, including cost estimating, scheduling, change management, and documentation procedures.Oversees equipment and material delivery schedules, monitors construction performance metrics, and takes corrective action to maintain progress.Develops action plans and procedures to address issues arising during general operations, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external vendors to coordinate resources and ensure project milestones are met.Recommends changes to policies and procedures affecting the immediate work group to improve efficiency and project outcomes.Ensures the protection and proper handling of sensitive project data, financial information, and cybersecurity assets in accordance with company standards.A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.Minimum QualificationsFive or more years of combined experience performing or supervising construction project management or construction advisor/oversight roles supporting construction projectsPossess a valid Class C Driver's License.Preferred QualificationsPeople Leadership: Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams while promoting accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Utility Construction Experience: Experience supporting complex utility, generation, hydroelectric, power plant, substation, transmission, or comparable infrastructure projects with operational, outage, access, environmental, or regulatory constraints.Portfolio and Project Execution: Experience managing diverse construction or capital project portfolios and improving processes to support safe, efficient, and consistent project delivery.Construction Lifecycle Expertise: Demonstrated ability to provide owner-side construction advisory support through planning, constructability, sourcing, bidder evaluation, preconstruction, execution, commissioning, turnover, and closeout.Safety and Quality Oversight: Knowledge of construction safety, contractor oversight, hazard recognition, incident escalation, inspection planning, testing, quality control, nonconformance resolution, and closeout documentation.Risk and Contract Management: Experience identifying and managing construction risks, constraints, change orders, time-and-material work, invoices, contractor documentation, milestone readiness, and mitigation actions.Communication and Stakeholder Leadership: Strong communication, influence, and decision-making skills, with the ability to align project management, engineering, operations, safety, environmental, quality, supply management, contractors, and senior leadership.Education, Credentials, and Technology: Degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field. Relevant credentials such as PE, PMP, CCM, OSHA/Cal-OSHA certifications, or construction quality certifications are preferred, along with proficiency in applicable project, contract, design-review, and document-management systems.Additional Information This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
