Purpose of Position:

The PIM (Product Information Management) Manager will be responsible for the effective management of our Product Information function. The function is responsible for ensuring efficient and high-quality additions and updates to the company’s product data through a combination of internal and external resources. They will constantly monitor all current and new data to ensure that it is complete, accurate, and updated in a timely manner.

The team will drive continuous improvement through domain knowledge, collaborative relationships across functions, and the evaluation/justification of investments in team and tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure appropriate staffing, skills, training, and resources for a diverse team of associates.

  • Coach direct reports, associates, and external partners on areas of strength and opportunity.

  • Identify and address areas of opportunity for associate engagement.

  • Represent the function as a subject matter expert in cross-functional discussions.

  • Provide visibility to team performance, successes, and opportunities.

  • Demonstrate corporate values including flexibility to accept assignments outside of normal day-to-day operations

  • ENSURE EFFICIENCY AND QUALITY:

  • Measure and improve productivity and quality output of the team, individual associates, and external partners

  • Develop a set of “levers” to drive productivity, quality, and service levels that are regularly monitored day-to-day and result in mid-week adjustments

  • Understand and leverage style guides across all product categories to ensure brand-right messaging

  • Provide troubleshooting, monitoring, and problem resolution to all internal and external contacts.

  • IMPROVE DATA INTEGRITY:

  • •Identify and monitor sources of feedback on data quality

  • Identify, implement, and leverage tools to resolve data issues, working upstream to avoid a repeat of issues.

  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Management experience of leading, hiring, and managing talented individuals in teams of 15 or more

  • Experience working with and understanding the impacts of product information quality

  • Strong business analysis, project management, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Exceptional query skills against relational databases, systems & files (Excel, Oracle or SAP)

  • Analyzing and solving problems in an efficient, detailed, and methodical manner

  • Ability to convey complex analytics in an understandable manner to non-technical levels

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including process-driven flow charts

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • A proactive self-starter and thought leader who can collaborate among a variety of departments in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Attention to detail with self-discipline, strong ownership, accountability and drive for results.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with PIM solutions or processes is preferred, preferably in a managerial role

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position manages the Product Information Management team and completes items master process

  • This position is considered sedentary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install/move computer equipment

  • The employee may be required to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to computer work

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience a moderate noise level (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic)

Travel Requirements:

This position requires some travel, up to 25%.
