Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Contract to Hire 
Department: Maintenance 
Pay Range: $28.00-$30.00
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining and improving our company's plating processes. This position performs preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal in-plant equipment performance, supports maximum production capacity, and upholds safety and quality standards.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and repair on all in-plant equipment, including hoists and pumps
• Install new equipment as required, including basic electrical, plumbing, and structural tasks
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and maintain job-specific equipment
• Implement Lock-out/Tag-out procedures for equipment safety
• Adhere to and participate in ISO 14001 EMS and ISO 9001 QMS policies, including supporting internal audits
• Carry out general building and facility repairs
• Fulfill additional duties as requested by the Supervisor

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair
• Basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills
• Forklift operation
• Basic computer literacy and math
• Effective communication
• Safe lifting and manual handling practices

Work Environment:

• Requires the use of close-toed shoes in and around production areas
• Exposure to humid and hot conditions within the plant
• Strict adherence to safety guidelines and procedures while operating machinery

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, twist, and bend for up to 80% of the shift
• Lift and carry up to 70 pounds when needed

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Relevant college-level or trade school coursework preferred

Safety & Security Requirements:

• Work in compliance with the Occupational Safety & Health Act and related regulations
• Promptly report equipment defects or safety hazards to supervisors
• Maintain facility security; ensure all doors are locked and equipment/lights are off as instructed
• Keep the work environment clean and free from hazards
• Never remove or disable required protective devices unless replacing with adequate temporary protection
