Job Description\n LanceSoft is seeking a travel Radiation Therapist for a travel job in Wichita, Kansas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Radiation Therapist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Job Summary: \n • Administers radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation.\n Responsibilities: \n • Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic parameters accurately.\n • Delivers appropriate patient treatment plan in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist.\n • Maintains detailed records of all therapy sessions.\n • Maintains and adjusts necessary equipment, including linear accelerator.\n • Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.\n • Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.\n • Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).\n • Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. \n Ascension Via Christi Cancer Center in Wichita, on the campus of Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, is a freestanding cancer treatment facility for outpatient cancer rehabilitation and radiation therapy, including our CyberKnife radiosurgery system.
