The Role

• Set and uphold medical standards, protocols, and quality metrics across the hospital
• Lead, mentor, and develop veterinarians and support staff; foster a culture of learning, accountability, and teamwork
• Maintain an engaging clinical caseload while allocating protected time for leadership duties
• Guide case management and collaborate on complex cases, including coordination with visiting specialists
• Partner with practice management on scheduling, workflow optimization, inventory, and client service initiatives
• Champion AAHA standards, patient safety, and clear medical communication with clients and the team
• Support community engagement and positive hospital reputation within the local area

Requirements

• DVM/VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• License to practice veterinary medicine in Colorado (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Proven clinical experience in small animal medicine and surgery; prior leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication, team-building, and client service skills
• Comfort working some Saturdays as part of a community-focused schedule
