Entry Level Construction Project Engineer

Your impact We are seeking an entry level project engineer to join our team of water and wastewater construction management professionals based in our St. Louis, Missouri office. This is an exciting opportunity to start your career and to learn how the engineering and construction industry works through hands‑on experience in construction project management, inspection, and program management for industrial and public utility projects. Responsibilities Draft construction work orders Review construction plans for quantity takeoffs Conduct field investigations in support of construction project development Develop construction plans Coordinate with city agencies, contractors, and third parties in the preparation of construction assignments Support the construction team to ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved specifications and client quality standards Prepare meeting agendas and minutes Perform warranty inspections for completed projects Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical field Strong communication and interpersonal skills Collaborative, team-oriented perspective Attention to detail and disciplined time management skills Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and react to change in a fast-paced environment Physical activity and ability to travel to/from/between construction site locations Benefits Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about: medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount. Certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $85,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Location and Travel Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
