Overview Cardiac Care Registered Nurse. Job Summary: Join our dedicated team at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Cardiac Care Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional care to patients within our Cardiac Telemetry unit, which focuses on patients recovering from cardiac procedures. The Cardiac Telemetry unit is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment caring for patients recovering from open-heart surgeries, heart catheterizations with stent placements, ablations, pacemaker/AICD placements, and cardiovascular surgeries. We are a comprehensive stroke/STEMI facility with a diverse and challenging patient population. This role offers opportunities to advance knowledge in caring for critically ill patients and to contribute to a problem-solving team that embraces challenges and innovative solutions. Responsibilities Coordinate and provide patient care under the direction of the Director, Manager, or Nurse Manager. Assume individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. Provide nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and unit-specific standards. Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Current state of Missouri RN licensure required. BLS certification required at hire and maintained. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire. Basic computer skills. Preferred Qualifications One (1) year of acute care Cardiac Care RN experience or similar. Previous clinical experience. Excellent oral/written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational skills. Demonstrated leadership skills. Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and interpretation. Knowledge of cardiac medications and their effects. Shift Details Assignment Dates: May 27, 2026 - August 26, 2026 Shift Type: Flexible Shift Length: 12-hour shifts Days per Week: 3 Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift Time: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Rotating weekends required.
