You'll work hands-on across the full development cycle from procedural content generation to world partition streaming, modeling, and terrain tools to define what best-in-class tools look like for creators across all platforms.In this role, you willContribute to the design and iterative development of world building and content creation tools in Unreal EnginePartner with Programming and UX teams to design workflows and build applicable solutionsEnsure tools are best-in-class by creating prototypes, demos, and examples, and providing ongoing feedbackDrive product initiatives with minimal directionEngage with internal Epic Games production teams and external users to understand their needs and requirementsApply subject matter expertise to influence product deliverables and manage the product roadmapCollaborate with marketing and sales teams to articulate the problems you're solving and the value delivered to usersWhat we're looking forExperience in world-building and/or content creation (as a Senior Technical Artist or equivalent), working alongside strong engineering teamsSubject matter expertise in environment and asset production, 3D modeling, geometry scripting, and procedural content generationExperience with Unreal's Procedural Content Generation (PCG) Framework, Houdini, Maya, 3ds Max, or BlenderAbility to represent user needs and think across near-term (tactics) and long-term (strategy) product goalsExperience driving product initiatives and seeing features through from development to productizationExcellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage complex tasks, adapt to shifting scope, and work across cross-functional teamsScripting experience or strong technical fundamentalsArtistic skills or a strong eye for evaluating artistic workExperience with Unreal Engine, Unity, or a proprietary game engine is a plusEPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEOur intent is to cover all things that are medically necessary and improve the quality of life.
